Exporting data
Sometimes you may want to extract information from a Planner report and put
it into a Word document (letter, report, plan...)
Using Access 2003
- Bring up the report you need
- Go Tools/Office Links/Publish with Word - this creates a Word document
with the information
- Edit (or Cut and Paste) to suit your purposes - unfortunately you may lose
some formatting between Access and Word
Using Access 2007
- Bring up the report you need
- Right click on the report and choose: Export ....
Word RTF
- - this opens a wizard
- accept the location if it is one of your folders
- tick the Open the document ... box
- OK. This gives you the data in a Word document
- Edit (or Cut and Paste) to suit your purposes - unfortunately you
may lose some formatting between Access and Word
Note: you can also Analyse with Excel - it works but you will need to
tidy up the data - in this process the formatting is changed drastically.
